Approximately 40 people attended the inaugural meeting of the Ipswich Branch of SGAP, which was held on 1st October 1974. Barbara Buchan-Hepburn was elected Chairman and Peter Tunbridge Secretary/Treasurer (but was replaced by Rene Wellstead).

Meetings - second Tuesday of the month (except January), Blackstone Bushland Centre, 8 Mary Street, Blackstone, 7.15 p.m. (UBD Map 214 Bundamba E20). Guest speaker at 7.30 pm.
