ASGAP has its own Web site established by Brian Walters of SGAP NSW, which includes a magazine section entitled "Australian Plants On Line" and an interactive web log (blog) site http://www.blognow.com.au/gumnuts/
ASGAP is a Federal Council established to coordinate nation-wide activities such as the special Study Groups. ASGAP is registered in the ACT and funded by an annual levy from all SGAP memberships via the State SGAP groups. The ASGAP Council comprises an elected President, two Vice Presidents, Secretary,Treasurer and Study Group Coordinator, along with delegates from Member Societies.
Every two years, an ASGAP conference ("the Biennial Conference") is held in a different State on a rotating basis.

The Executive of the ASGAP consist of the President, Secretary, Treasurer, both Vice Presidents and the Study Group Coordinator. At each conference, the ASGAP Council meets and, at the end of the conference, the control of ASGAP is handed over to a newly elected Council. The ASGAP Council also conducts teleconference discussions twice a year.
The ASGAP conferences are attended by 4 delegates from each of the Regions and the ASGAP Council members; observers are welcome. Through discussions and presentation of reports, the ASGAP conferences allow the Regions to discuss national issues, to learn from the experiences in other States and to compare notes on activities and issues. Following the conference, a seminar program involving talks and day trips, is attended by members from all Regions.
ASGAP produces a newsletter which is sent to each State SGAP and Branches.
